Thanks, Susan Boyle
Thanks to the web buzzing about Susan Boyle, I came across this gem on the Britain's Got Talent website. I got my much needed laugh for the day. Oh -- now my stomach hurts. Simon's facial expressions are priceless.

C'mon, NASA!
That's right -- I'm calling out our nation's space program. Get with the program, NASA! Give Stephen Colbert his space node, nodule, module, room, thingy... whatever. We voted fair and square. Are you allergic to good PR? Are you ticked that Stephen Colbert got so many people to visit your site? If you call the stupid thing "Serenity" I'm going to yell "Serenity now!" a la Seinfeld every time someone mentions NASA. I'm just saying.
P.S. The next time you want the public to take interest in naming something, maybe you shouldn't allow write-ins.

Nifty Little Website
I'm avoiding doing a lot of things that are actually productive -- working out, cleaning, going through paperwork -- by being "productive" and updating my bookmarks on the laptop. I don't remember why I bookmarked this guy's page but he's got some really cool work. Click the link at the bottom that says "Rollover Project."

Question for Stephen King
So I'm reading some info about Otis Redding on the web and, long story short, I end up at an entry about a short story by Stephen King. Granted I haven't read the story itself, but I think I need Mr. King to explain to me how living in a town where you can see Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Patsy Cline in concert in perpituity would be a bad thing. Admittedly, I wouldn't enjoy having to see Rick Nelson or Jim Croce, but that seems like a small price to pay. I think a trip to the local library is in order.

Honey, I Think I Love You
I really need to go to bed, so I'm on YouTube just kind of randomly clicking on things. I watched George Carlin's Seven Dirty Words (yes, I can name them all) -- always enjoyable. And I found a new (to me) band. Enjoy this rockin' little clip.

Yes, I Am Alive II
Here's a couple of clips I know my readers will enjoy. They're only relation is that they both cracked me up.

Slash
It's 1 a.m. and I can't sleep because of my head cold. I'm trying to bore myself to sleep by chasing a dose of NyQuil with some YouTube viewing, and I came across this little gem...
I know, I know, a certain member of Guns n' Roses has spewed some viscous hate speech in the past. But I still like their early music and have always been a big fan of Slash in particular, so I thought this was pretty cool. And with all of the hatefulness that is surfacing after the election, I'm really glad to see people standing up for what they think is right and doing it in a positive way.
My second selection isn't at all related to politics, but I really like this song, it has Slash, and it's happy, so enjoy.
